Lineapelle

Lineapelle is the most important international exhibition dedicated to the leather, accessories, components, fabrics and models for footwear, leather goods, clothing and furnishing.
In 1981 Lineapelle absorbed the pre-existing Italian fashion preselection, allowing the birth of the most qualified international exhibition of leather, accessories, components, synthetics, fabrics and models for footwear, leather goods, clothing and furnishing. Lineapelle takes place twice a year in the Milan exhibition centre, in February for the summer collections and in September for the winter ones. The distinctive feature of Lineapelle, which has distinguished its historical development, has been the constant primacy over stylistic and qualitative innovation, which is now indispensable for world demand.
The event has been able to diversify its offer through events such as: Lineapelle New York and Lineapelle London.
The focus point of the event is the Trend Area, the exhibition of the most innovative samples supplied by the exhibitors: leathers, accessories and components, fabrics and synthetics (about 2,000 samples on display). The samples on display, after the exhibition, are transferred to the Lineapelle Fashion Studio in Milan, where they can be consulted.
As we said, Lineapelle takes place twice a year, in February for the summer collections and in September for the winter ones. Access is reserved for accredited economic operators, while the exhibition sectors are: Manufacturers of leather, accessories and components (shapes, heels, soles, metal accessories, etc.), synthetic materials, industrial fabrics, models for footwear, leather goods. The finished product (bags, shoes, etc.) is not admitted.

Some data. Around Lineapelle rotate 50,000 companies, 1 million workers for a turnover of about 150 billion dollars/year. On average, Lineapelle has 1,300 companies from over 40 countries. (Data referred to the February 2019 edition).
